Educational Grants

The Cowley Endowed Schools Foundation provides financial support to eligible young people progressing through further and higher education, vocational training and apprenticeships.

Applications are accepted annually between 1 September and 16 October.

How Much Can I Apply For?

Level 1: £450

Level 2: £200

For eligible students undertaking qualifications including NVQs, A Levels, BTEC qualifications, apprenticeships and equivalent courses.

The existing application form describes Level 1 as degree and HND qualifications and Level 2 as other qualifications and certificates, including BTEC Diplomas, A Levels, NVQs and apprenticeships.

You must be under 25.

At least two years in one of ten local parishes.

How Many Times Can I Apply?

Eligible students may apply for a grant up to three times, provided they continue to meet the Foundation’s eligibility criteria and are under the age of 25.

When Can I Apply?

Applications are accepted between:

1 September and 16 October each year

Applications received outside these dates will not be considered.

Supporting Your Application

You will need to provide evidence confirming your enrolment and attendance on your course.

Examples of suitable evidence include:

  • A reference from a course tutor or employer
  • An admissions letter or email
  • An attendance record
  • Confirmation from your educational establishment
  • Other appropriate evidence confirming your enrolment or attendance

The Foundation may request additional information where necessary to assess your application.

Successful Applications

If your application is successful, payment will be made by 31 January using the bank details supplied within your application.

Please ensure the BACS details provided are accurate.
